San Luis Potosí Symphonic Orchestra
Since its foundation in July 2000, has held a renowned place diffusing the symphonic music in Mexico. Their international presence in important forums in China, Europe, especially at the Musikverein Grosser Säal, in Vienna Austria 2005, has granted an increasing prestige. With his head conductor José Miramontes Zapata, they have concerted at the most important cultural festivals in Mexico, with national and international renowned figures of the musical conduction and interpretation. At the same time makes a constant effort to bring great music to regions of San Luis Potosi and throughout Mexico, which rarely or never hear symphonic pieces.
With an intense activity over 80 annual concerts, the Orchestra promotes the recovery of musical pieces from Mexican composers, supporting altruistic institutions and the musical development, educational programs with large orchestra and chamber ensembles.
